1991 is an exceptional vintage as a devastating frost not seen for 32 years destroyed almost two-thirds of the vineyard.
These conditions gave rise to unusual organoleptic qualities in the vintage of that year. A deep chesnut colour withbrown and golden hints.
On the nose, you will discover persistant minty notes leading to aromas of vanilla and cloves, finishing on candied notes of quince, prunes and a light woody flavour.
On the palate, there are hints of liquorice, spices and candied fruit with a lingering note of rancio on the finish.
Bottled at 43% ABV for a long-lasting taste.
